Description

The Bloom is a single-globe ceiling light that mounts a ribbed glass sphere flush to a small round cap, so it sits close overhead rather than hanging on a drop. This is the 220mm size in matt black, with a satin grey outer glass and a white acid-etched inner diffuser that softens the E27 lamp into an even ball of light. The ribbing catches a little detail across the surface without breaking up the glow.

Fixed hard to the ceiling, it works as quiet general light in a hallway, a bedroom or a landing where a hanging pendant would sit too low. Lit, the grey glass keeps the source muted and free of glare; unlit, it reads as a smoky ball held neatly overhead.

We supply it ready to wire. A bulb is not included, so we would fit an E27 lamp to suit, and the standard screw cap leaves a wide choice of LED brightness and colour temperature.

A soft, even glow. The white acid-etched inner glass diffuses the E27 lamp into a rounded ball of light and the satin grey outer glass keeps it muted, so it reads as gentle general light rather than a bright point.

What bulb does it take and is one included?

It uses a single E27 screw-cap bulb up to 42W. A bulb is not included, so we would fit an E27 lamp to suit; the standard cap means a wide choice of LED bulbs and colour temperatures.

Is it dimmable?

Dimming depends on the E27 bulb fitted. With a dimmable E27 lamp on a compatible dimmer the light can be lowered; the fitting itself has no integrated driver.
