Description

The Bloom is a compact LED drum light in ash wood, made to fix flush to a ceiling or to a wall. A shallow band of ash wraps around a white diffuser, so the grain of the wood frames a soft, even circle of light. It is 18cm across and sits just 5cm deep, which keeps it neat and close on a low ceiling or a narrow stretch of wall. The integrated LED draws 12W and gives 1300 lumens of warm white light at 3000K, with a CRI of 85 or more, so wood, fabric and skin tones look natural. It needs no bulb, and the 180° beam spreads light widely across the room rather than pooling it in one spot.

Because it fits flat and close, the Bloom suits places where a pendant would be in the way: a hallway or landing with a low ceiling, a small bedroom, a study, a walk-in wardrobe, or the wall over a bed or desk. Its modern, Scandinavian look sits well with pale floors, linen and other natural materials, and a few of them spaced along a corridor spread light evenly from one end to the other. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only. It is switched on and off and is not dimmable, which suits a room where you want steady, dependable light at the flick of a switch.

The structure is ash, and the wood brings a warm, natural colour and a visible grain that contrasts gently with the white diffuser.
