The Bertie is a cotton velvet cushion in a deep plum-into-burgundy tone, with a soft, faintly heathered pile on the front and a plainer, more robust cotton on the reverse. It measures 45 x 45cm, the standard square that most cushion pads and covers are built around, and the whole thing is finished with a frayed, ruffled fringe running right around the edge.
