Description

The Ben is a wall light in brass and glass, with a single round glass globe held in a brass cup at the end of a scrolled arm. The arm curves out from a tall backplate decorated with leafy scrolls, topped with a small finial and finished underneath with a neat drop, so it looks as good from the side as it does head on. It stands 30cm tall and 14cm wide, and reaches 20cm out from the wall. We offer it in four finishes: Polished Brass, Antique Brass, Antique Silver and Satin Brass. The three brass finishes bring warmth to the white glass, while Antique Silver gives a cooler, quieter look.

It belongs in the rooms where a wall light earns its place: a bedroom, a dining room or a living room. A pair either side of a bed frees the bedside tables, and two flanking a fireplace or a sideboard give a wall a pleasing symmetry. The ornate backplate and scrolled arm suit period homes and traditional schemes, and the plain white globe keeps the look from feeling fussy. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only.

The Ben is made from brass and glass, and every light is made to order for you in Ireland. The maker guarantees the fittings it makes for five years from the date of purchase; bulbs are not covered. It runs on the mains and is wired in, so it is for a qualified electrician to install. Bulbs are sold separately: the Ben takes one G9 bulb, up to 6.5W per bulb (LED), so pick up an LED G9 at or under that wattage before the electrician arrives, and you can switch it on the day it goes up.
