Description

The Ben is a two-arm wall light that holds a pair of white glass globes on scrolled brass arms, one either side of a central column with raised leaf detail. Each globe takes its own bulb, so you get two lights from one fitting, set level with each other across the wall. It is made of brass and glass, and it comes in four finishes: Antique Brass, Antique Silver, Polished Brass and Satin Brass. It is 30cm tall and 33cm across, and stands 17cm out from the wall.

It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only, and it suits the living room, the dining room and the bedroom. In a living room, a pair either side of a chimney breast or a mirror gives a balanced, traditional look. In a dining room it sits well over a sideboard or along the wall beside the table, and in a bedroom one on each side of the bed gives you each a light of your own. The scrolled arms and leaf detail suit a period home, while the plain white globes keep it from feeling fussy in a simpler room. With four finishes to choose from, you can match it to the other metalwork in the room.

It is made to order for you in Ireland, in brass with glass globes. It takes two G9 bulbs, up to 6.5W per bulb (LED), and the bulbs are sold separately. The maker guarantees the fittings it makes for five years from the date of purchase; bulbs are not covered. It is wired in to the mains, so it is for a qualified electrician to install. When you plan where it goes, allow for the 17cm it stands out from the wall, and for its 33cm width if you are hanging two side by side.
