Description
The Belvix is a single pendant light built around a 250mm dome of natural Spanish alabaster, suspended below a slim white marble cylinder and a brushed brass connector. The shade measures 309mm in total height and takes a single E27 bulb (sold separately), with the bulb concealed inside the dome so light passes through the stone itself rather than spilling directly downwards.
The pendant suits dining tables, kitchen islands, hallways and bedside positions where a soft, diffused light source is wanted rather than focused task light. Hung individually over a bedside or in a cluster of three over a 1.8-2.4m dining table, the dome casts a warm glow with minimal glare. The brass canopy fits standard UK ceiling roses, and the cable can be shortened on installation to set the drop appropriate to the ceiling height.
Each alabaster dome is cut from natural stone, so veining patterns, translucency and tonal variation differ between individual pieces. The soft white marble cylinder above the shade picks up the same cool-warm tonal range as the alabaster, while the brushed brass fixings introduce a quiet metallic warmth without dominating. When unlit the pendant reads as a sculptural object in pale stone; when lit, the internal density of the alabaster becomes visible as cloud-like patterning across the dome.

Frequently Asked
What bulb does the Belvix take?
The pendant takes a single E27 (Edison screw) bulb, sold separately. For the warmest stone glow, pair it with a 6-9W LED at 2700K-3000K. Avoid bulbs above 60W equivalent so the bulb sits comfortably inside the dome without overheating the stone.
Does each alabaster dome look the same?
No. Each dome is cut from natural Spanish alabaster, so veining, translucency and tonal variation differ between pieces. This is a feature of the natural stone rather than a defect, and is most visible when the pendant is lit.
What drop is the cable, and can it be shortened?
The pendant is supplied with a black flex cable that can be shortened on installation to set the drop appropriate to the ceiling height. For dining tables the dome typically sits 700-800mm above the table surface; for hallway or feature positions, drops of 1.2-1.5m work well.
How is the alabaster cleaned?
Alabaster is porous and softer than marble. Wipe gently with a dry, soft microfibre cloth. For more stubborn marks use a barely-damp cloth with distilled water, but avoid soaking the stone and do not use household sprays, polishes or chemical cleaners.
