Description
The Bean is a compact wall light with a rounded metal head on a short stem, finished in black. It runs on an internal rechargeable battery rather than mains wiring, so it needs no cable run and can be mounted where power would be awkward. The metal head is directable, aiming a focused warm glow onto a page, a headboard or a section of wall, and a small black switch turns it on and off.
The fitting is small at 80mm wide and 80mm tall, standing 110mm off the wall, so it stays neat beside a bed, a chair or a picture. Its cordless build suits a reading spot, a bedside without a nearby socket or a rented room where fixed wiring is not wanted, and it can be recharged and refitted as needed.
The base and head are plated and powder-coated metal in a black finish, with a black switch and junction. An integrated LED gives 200 lumens at 3000K warm white and is rated to 50,000 hours, so there is no bulb to buy. It is rated IP20 for dry indoor rooms.

Frequently Asked
What kind of light does the Bean give?
A focused, warm pool of light rather than a broad wash. The directable metal head aims an integrated LED at 200 lumens and 3000K warm white onto a page or a headboard, which makes it useful for reading.
Does it need wiring?
No. The Bean runs on an internal rechargeable battery, so it needs no mains cable and can go where wiring would be difficult. You recharge it and switch it on with the small black switch on the body.
Do I need a bulb?
No. The LED is integrated and included, giving 200 lumens at 3000K, so there is no separate lamp to fit. It arrives ready to charge and use.
How big is it and where does it suit?
It is small, 80mm wide and 80mm tall, standing 110mm off the wall. The directable head and cordless build suit a bedside, a reading chair or a rented room without a nearby socket.
