Description

This resin garden ornament is a beagle in a pumpkin hat, standing square on all four paws with its tail up and its long ears falling either side of a white muzzle. The coat is painted a warm tan brown, with white on the chest, muzzle and paws, and the glazed finish gives the whole figure a soft sheen. On its head sits an orange pumpkin hat, stalk and all, and round its neck is an orange and black check scarf with frayed ends that hang loose down one side. It stands 13cm tall, 14.5cm wide and 7.5cm deep, a small figure that fits neatly into a tight spot.

We like it best somewhere it can be seen up close: at the foot of a pot by the back door, on a patio table, along the edge of a raised bed, or among pumpkins and gourds on the doorstep when the leaves start to turn. At just 7.5cm deep it needs very little room, so a narrow ledge or the rim of a wide planter will hold it.
