Description

The Beaded T is a glass LED table lamp with a soft, rounded shade shaped like a flattened sphere. A dark band circles the shade at its middle and holds it between two slim rods that rise from a round base. We offer it in two glass finishes, Smoke Grey and Opal White, so it can suit a darker or a lighter scheme. The light is an integrated LED of 22W giving 2500lm at a warm 2700K, with a CRI of 90. That means there is no bulb to buy, and colours look true and natural beneath it. The lamp stands 64cm tall and 27.5cm wide, with a shade 25cm across and 15cm tall above a base 5cm high.

It is a lamp for the bedroom and the living room. On a bedside table it gives a warm, gentle light for reading before sleep. On a side table or sideboard it adds a pool of light to a corner of the sitting room. At 64cm tall it also sits well on a desk, where 2500lm is plenty for reading or writing. It is dimmable, so you can bring it down low when you only want a glow. It runs on mains power at 230V. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms indoors only.

Werner Aisslinger designed the Beaded T. It is a quiet piece: one glass shade, held by a single band, on two slender rods over a round base. Nothing is fussy, so the glass sets the mood and the frame stays out of the way. The LED is built into the lamp, so there is no hunting for the right bulb and nothing to fit in the shade. Before you order, measure the spot it is going on. The lamp needs 27.5cm of width and 64cm of height, so check that a shelf or wall light above it leaves room. Our photographs show the smoke grey version.
