Description

The Beacon Type A fire telephone outstation is a wall-mounted emergency communication point for fire alarm systems, housed in a brushed stainless steel enclosure with a red powder-coated finish. The unit provides duplex audio between the outstation and a master control panel, with a high-volume ringer that activates when the master station initiates a call. An LED on the front panel indicates call status.

Designed for installation in commercial buildings, industrial sites and public premises where BS5839-9:2021 compliance is required, the outstation allows building occupants or first responders to communicate directly with a fire control room during an emergency. The large handset sits in a cradle on the front panel and is tethered to prevent removal. The unit is surface-mounted on a standard UK back box and connects to a two-wire fire telephone system.

The brushed stainless steel construction resists corrosion and impact damage in high-traffic areas, while the red finish provides high visibility against most wall colours. The enclosure measures 340mm high by 190mm wide and projects 140mm from the wall when fitted. The handset is sized for use with gloves, and the ringer volume is sufficient to be heard in noisy industrial environments.
