Description

A linear bar in antique brass carrying three E27 lampholders in a row, this one is built to be finished with shades of your own choosing. The bar measures roughly 95cm end to end, so the lampholders sit well apart rather than bunched together, and the suspension can be shortened or let down to a maximum drop of 210cm. Left bare it reads as a simple run of holders and cable; dressed with shades it becomes as plain or as decorative as you like.

This is the fitting we reach for over a long dining table, a kitchen island or a run of worktop, where three separate pools of light do more good than one central pendant. It also works well above a console or a wide breakfast bar. Because the holders are the universal type, a vast selection of shades will fit, which makes it a sensible choice if you already have shades in mind or want to change them later. With suitable lamps and a compatible dimmer in the circuit, the light can be dialled down for evenings.

The metalwork wears a warm antique brass tone that sits comfortably with older woodwork, painted cabinetry and aged mirrors, and it takes on brass or bronze shade frames particularly well. To keep it looking right, run a dry duster along the bar now and then and lift any marks with a barely damp cloth, working with the power off and the lamps cold. Nothing abrasive and no sprays, as these will dull the finish. It carries a one year warranty. We stock the same linear pendant in polished chrome and satin nickel, in this drop and in a longer one, and the antique brass is offered in the longer drop too if your ceiling asks for it. Shades and lamps are chosen separately.
