Description

A single wide drum shade carries three E27 lampholders grouped inside it, so light spreads across the fabric rather than pooling in a single hotspot. The shade is faux silk in ivory pearl, lined in white laminate that pushes light downwards, and it measures 45cm across with a shallow depth that keeps the proportions calm. Suspension and ceiling plate are antique brass, a soft aged gold with warmth in it rather than a bright polish. We stock it complete, shade and frame together.

It suits a dining table, a kitchen island or a hallway where you want a single generous shape doing the work. The drop is adjustable, from a short hang to a little over three metres, so it works under a lower ceiling and down a stairwell alike. It will dim if you pair dimmable lamps with a compatible dimmer, though neither comes with it. We would reach for warm white LED GLS bulbs here, which give a table plenty of light without glare. Keep it to dry rooms indoors, well away from bathrooms and anywhere that gets damp.

The shade is faux silk over a white laminate lining, and the metalwork carries the antique brass finish throughout. Dust the fabric now and then with a soft brush or the upholstery tool on a vacuum, and give the brass a dry cloth; sprays and solvents will mark faux silk, so keep them clear. It carries a one year warranty. The antique brass finish appears elsewhere in the Baymont range, on linear pendants and on a compact semi flush fitting, useful if you are matching fittings across more than a room.
