Description

The shade is a wide faux silk drum, 40cm across, in ivory pearl with a white laminate lining that throws the light back warm rather than flat. Below it sits a frosted acrylic diffuser rimmed in antique brass, so the lamps above read as one soft pool of light rather than a row of bright points. Suspension, ceiling plate and diffuser trim all share the same antique brass finish, and the drop is adjustable, which lets you set it high in a hallway or lower over a table.

Three E27 lamps behind that diffuser give plenty of light for a dining table, a long kitchen island or a sitting room where one lamp would leave the corners dim. We would fit LED GLS lamps here, up to 20W each, and if you want the level down in the evening then suitable dimmable lamps and a dimmer will manage it. It suits rooms with a little ceiling height above a table, and it is one we reach for when someone wants soft, diffused light with a warm metal finish instead of chrome.

The frame is metal in antique brass, the shade is fabric covered over a laminate lining, and the diffuser is acrylic, frosted enough to keep the lamps out of sight. Dust the fabric with a soft brush or a vacuum on its lowest setting and use a dry cloth on the brasswork; sprays and damp cloths will mark faux silk. Keep it to dry rooms indoors, away from steam and splashing. It carries a one year warranty. Lamps are not included.
