Baymont 3 Light Pendant Light 1.19m Drop Raw Cocoa - Satin Nickel

Three faux silk drum shades hang in a row from a slim satin nickel bar, each finished in raw cocoa outside with a Grecian bronze lining that warms the light on its way down. The shades measure 30cm across, which keeps the fitting trim rather than bulky above a long surface, and the drop adjusts over a generous range, so it can sit low above a table or ride higher in a taller room.

A linear pendant earns its place over a dining table or a kitchen island, where one central light tends to leave the ends of the surface in shadow. We also like it above a long kitchen worktop, or in a wide hallway with a run of length to fill. Each shade takes an E27 lamp and we would fit warm white LED GLS globes here, which sit well inside the shade depth. The fitting will dim with suitable lamps and a compatible dimmer on the circuit, so the light can be dropped back once dinner is served.

The bar and lamp holders are satin nickel, a soft brushed silver that stays quiet against the cocoa fabric rather than competing with it. Faux silk collects dust before it shows marks, so a lambswool duster or a gentle pass with a soft brush keeps the shades even in tone; we would keep water and sprays away from the fabric altogether. This one belongs in dry indoor rooms. It carries a one year warranty. The same raw cocoa and Grecian bronze shade turns up elsewhere in the range on a white flush fitting with a frosted acrylic diffuser, which is a useful pairing if a lower ceiling in the same house rules out a hanging light. Lamps are not included.

What size is this pendant?

The bar runs 1190mm end to end and each shade is 30cm in diameter by 17cm deep, so it suits a table or island of at least that length.

How high and low can it hang?

The drop runs from a minimum of 405mm to a maximum of 3125mm, which covers standard ceilings as well as stairwells and double-height spaces.

Which lamps should I use?

It takes three E27 lamps rated up to 20W each. We would choose LED GLS A60 globes in a warm white; lamps are supplied separately.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, provided you use dimmable lamps with a compatible dimmer. No dimmer is supplied with the fitting.

How should I clean the faux silk shades?

Dust only, and dry. A lambswool duster or a soft brush worked lightly over the fabric is enough; damp cloths and cleaning sprays can stain or mark the weave.

Can it go in a bathroom?

No. It is rated IP20, which limits it to dry rooms away from splashes and steam.
