Description

Three E27 lamps sit behind a single white faux silk shade, so the light spreads softly rather than showing as separate points. The shade is 45cm across, generous over a table without dominating a smaller room, and its white laminate lining keeps the tone clean when the lamps are lit. Suspension and ceiling cup are finished in polished chrome, a bright metal note against the plain fabric. The drop is adjustable, so the shade can hang well down or sit closer to the ceiling.

We would hang this over a dining table, in a hallway where a single lamp looks thin, or in a sitting room that wants a soft main light. Grouping the lamps under one shade gives plenty of output for general use, and the fitting can be dimmed where both the lamps and the dimmer suit it. Set low it works as a table light; taken higher it reads as a light for the whole room. It is one we reach for when a room calls for fabric overhead instead of glass or metal. Keep it to dry indoor spaces, and note that it is an earthed fitting.

The metalwork carries a polished chrome finish, and the shade is faux silk in white over a white laminate lining. For care, lift dust from the fabric with a soft brush and wipe the chrome with a dry cloth; keep damp cloths and household sprays away from the shade. It carries a one year warranty.
