Description

Three E27 sockets sit on a round plate that hangs close to the ceiling, each on its own short drop, so the fitting reads as a single piece rather than a cluster of pendants. The plate measures 24cm across, which keeps it modest above a table or in a hallway. Polished chrome catches the light and keeps the frame looking light on the eye. Every socket is made to take a shade, and the choice that will fit is wide, so you set the character of the light yourself.

We would hang this where a pendant would sit too low: a landing, a small bedroom, or a galley kitchen with little headroom. Splitting the light across the plate spreads it more evenly than a single central lamp, which helps in long hallways and awkward corners. It will dim, given lamps that dim and a compatible dimmer on the circuit. We reach for LED GLS lamps here, warm white in bedrooms and something crisper where you are reading or cooking. It needs an earthed supply, and it should stay clear of steam and spray, so bathrooms are not for it.

Metalwork is finished in polished chrome across the plate, the drops and the lamp holders. A dry microfibre cloth now and then keeps the shine even; sprays and scouring pads will dull it, so leave them in the cupboard. It carries a one year warranty. We stock the same idea in white, and a wider five lamp version in polished chrome if the room wants more light; the range also runs to semi flush fittings and linear pendants on a bar, with antique brass and satin nickel among the finishes. Lamps and shades are not included.
