Description

We stock the Bassa as a glass LED pendant light in black, made to hang over a table or island. The layered glass shade sits below a matt black metal canopy, and an integrated 20W LED inside gives 2000 lumens of warm white (3000K) light through the glass at a wide 180 degree spread. It is a single fixed drop rather than an adjustable head, so it reads as a soft, decorative source of ambient light.

We would hang it over a dining table, a kitchen island or an entrance hall where you want a warm pool of light and a bit of presence overhead. The 2000 lumen output and 3000K colour suit a medium room used for eating and sitting, and the 180 degree beam pushes light down and outward through the glass rather than in a tight spot. It works best with a ceiling height that gives the pendant room to hang clear of heads at the table.

The shade is glass and the canopy and suspension are metal, and the fitting runs on 220 to 240V mains at 50Hz. The LED is dimmable on a compatible dimmer, so you can take it from full brightness down to a low glow for dining. Colour rendering is CRI 80 and the rating is IP20, so it is made for dry indoor rooms. The energy class is G. The LED is integrated, so there is no separate bulb to buy or replace.

Frequently Asked

Is it dimmable?

Yes. The integrated LED dims on a compatible dimmer (sold separately), so you can set it from full brightness down to a soft glow for dining.

Does it take a bulb?

No. The 20W LED is built in and gives 2000 lumens of warm white (3000K) light, so there is no separate bulb to buy or replace.

Where does it suit best?

We would hang it over a dining table, kitchen island or entrance hall. With a wide 180 degree spread and 2000 lumens it gives a warm pool of ambient light rather than a tight, directional beam.

Can I use it in a bathroom?

No. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only. It should not be fitted anywhere exposed to moisture.
