Description

The Basmorne is a square flush ceiling light: a compact aluminium cube finished in white, with a copper-coloured interior that shows through the open end. It measures 10cm long, 10cm wide and 12cm tall, so it sits close to the ceiling instead of hanging from it. It takes a single GU10 bulb, which is not included, so you choose the brightness and colour of light that suits the room. Its IP20 rating settles where it belongs: indoors, in the living spaces of the home.

With the bulb set inside the square, the light leaves through the open end as a focused beam, and the copper interior gives the opening a warm glow whenever it is lit. The white body reads quietly against a white ceiling, so the eye goes to the copper rather than the fitting. It suits hallways, landings, bedrooms, living rooms and kitchens, anywhere you want light placed precisely. Fit several in a row along a corridor or across a kitchen ceiling and you get an even line of light without the clutter of pendants, and the compact size works well on lower ceilings where a hanging shade would feel crowded.

The body is aluminium and the whole light weighs 0.55KG. There is no switch on the fitting itself; it is switched at the wall, so the wall switch controls it.
