Description

The Baskin is a single-light pendant with a 228mm clear glass shade suspended from polished nickel hardware on an adjustable cord. The tapered glass bell sits inside a nickel gallery ring at the top, with the E27 lampholder positioned centrally within the shade. The thick clear glass provides structural weight while allowing full visibility of the bulb inside.

Designed for kitchen islands, dining tables and bar counters, the Baskin works best where a single pendant can be positioned over a defined task area or clustered in a run of two or three over longer surfaces. The 1829mm cord allows the pendant to be set anywhere between 313mm and 2102mm drop on installation, meaning it can be fitted close to a standard 2.4m ceiling or dropped low over a worktop depending on the room's proportions. The polished nickel finish reflects ambient light and pairs with chrome taps, stainless appliances and cooler-toned interiors.

The clear glass shade measures 228mm diameter and 273mm in height, proportioned to suit individual placement rather than grand-scale chandeliers. The Baskin accepts any standard E27 bulb up to 60W (sold separately), giving flexibility to choose between warm filament styles for exposed-bulb character or frosted LED for diffused task light. The polished nickel canopy measures approximately 100mm diameter and conceals the cord entry point at the ceiling rose.

What bulb does the Baskin take?

The pendant takes a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb up to 60W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most installations pair this with a warm-white filament LED or traditional Edison-style bulb between 4-8W for visible-bulb character, or a frosted LED for diffused task lighting.

Can the drop height be adjusted after installation?

The cord length is set during installation by trimming the 1829mm cord to the required drop and concealing the excess inside the ceiling canopy. Once installed, the drop cannot be adjusted without re-accessing the ceiling rose and re-threading the cord.

How is the glass cleaned?

The clear glass shade can be wiped with a damp microfibre cloth and standard glass cleaner once the bulb is removed and the pendant is switched off at the mains. The thick glass is robust but should be supported from underneath during cleaning to avoid stressing the nickel gallery ring.

Can multiple Baskin pendants be installed in a row?

Yes. The 228mm diameter makes the Baskin suited to clustering in twos or threes over kitchen islands or dining tables. Space individual pendants 500-700mm apart for balanced coverage without visual crowding.
