Description

We stock the Basic Texture as a compact wood-effect pendant light in black. The spherical shade carries a natural wood grain finish over a metal base and hangs from a matt black circular canopy on a black cable. It takes a single E27 bulb up to 50W (sold separately), which sits in the open base of the shade so the light falls downward into the room below.

We like this pendant over a kitchen island, a breakfast bar, a small dining table or in a hallway where a smaller-scale fitting suits the space. The wood tone brings warmth to Scandi, mid-century and industrial-toned kitchens, and you can hang one as a single fitting or run several in a line along an island. Because the base is open, the bulb stays visible from below, so a decorative filament or globe-style bulb finishes the look neatly.

The shade is finished from natural timber over metal, so the grain varies a little from piece to piece. It is rated IP20 for use in dry indoor rooms, runs on a standard 220 to 240V 50Hz supply and is not dimmable. The matt black canopy and cable contrast cleanly against the warmer wood, and the bulb is supplied separately so you can pick the colour temperature and style you prefer.
