Basic Texture Marble Pendant Light - White

We stock the Basic Texture pendant in white as a spherical shade cut from natural marble, suspended on a black fabric-covered cable from a matt black ceiling rose. The stone reads as a pale globe with soft grey veining, and because it is real marble every shade shows a slightly different pattern, so no two hang exactly alike.

It works well over a dining table, a kitchen island or in a hallway, where the globe gives a warm pool of ambient light with the presence of natural stone. Light diffuses through the translucent marble and also spills from an opening at the base of the sphere, and the matt black cable and rose sit as quiet contrast against the white stone in both contemporary and industrial rooms.

The globe houses a single E27 fitting, and the bulb is sold separately so you can pick warm or cool white to suit the room. It takes standard E27 lamps up to a 50W maximum, whether LED, halogen or filament, runs on 220-240V mains and is not dimmable. Rated IP20, it is made for dry indoor spaces, and the cable length is set on installation so you can hang the globe at the right height.

Does it come with a bulb?

No, the bulb is sold separately. The globe takes a single E27 lamp up to 50W, so you can fit a warm or cool white LED, halogen or filament bulb to suit the room.

Is it dimmable?

The pendant itself is not dimmable, as it uses a standard E27 fitting rather than an integrated LED. If you use a dimmable E27 bulb on a compatible dimmer, you can dim the light that way.

Where is it best used?

We like it over a dining table, a kitchen island or in a hallway. It gives warm ambient light through the marble, so it suits spaces where you want a soft, decorative glow rather than sharp task light.

Can I use it in a bathroom?

No. It is rated IP20 for dry indoor use only, so please keep it away from bathrooms, showers and anywhere it might be exposed to moisture.
