Description

Three bud vases hand blown from recycled glass, each 12cm tall and 7.5cm across at the belly, in a warm dusty terracotta that reads pale pink against the light and deeper where the glass folds over itself. Each one has a rounded body that draws in to a narrow neck and opens again at the lip, and the lower half is worked into shallow hammered facets that break the surface up. The opening is 3.5cm across.

At 12cm these take single stems rather than an arrangement: one flower, a sprig of foliage, or a bulb sitting in the neck. The 3.5cm opening is narrow enough to hold a stem upright on its own. Three of them stand in a line down the middle of a table, or go one each to a shelf, a windowsill and a bedside.

The glass is recycled and blown by hand, so the wall thickness and the run of the hammered facets differ from vase to vase and the colour sits more strongly in some than in others. Three come in a set. Bapti is also made in clear glass.

Frequently Asked

How many vases come in a set?

Three.

How big are they?

12cm tall and 7.5cm across, with an opening of 3.5cm.

Is the glass recycled?

Yes, and each vase is blown by hand.

Will the three match?

Not exactly. The colour and the hammered facets fall differently on each one.

Is another colour made?

Yes. Bapti is also made in clear glass.

How should they be washed?

Wipe them regularly with a soft, dry cloth. Hand wash only, with a mild dish soap, and do not leave them to soak. Keep harsh chemicals and abrasive cleaners away from them, as they will damage the finish.
