Description

Three candle lamps sit inside a wide drum shade of taupe faux silk, lined with a halo gold that warms the light as it spreads. The stem and base are finished in champagne gold, a soft tone that reads quieter than polished brass. The shade is dual faced, taupe on the outside and gold within, so it looks calm unlit and glows once switched on. At 50cm across it is generous for a floor lamp, and the light it gives is broad and even rather than tightly pooled. A foot switch on the flex means you can work it without stooping.

We reach for this one where a corner needs filling and there is no table to stand a lamp on. It works beside a sofa, at the end of a bed, or behind a reading chair, and it suits rooms where the warmer metals are already in play. All it needs is a socket within reach of the flex. We would fit LED candle lamps here. If you want the level to drop in the evening, dimmable lamps and a compatible dimmer will manage it.

Metal below, faux silk above, and double insulated throughout. Dust the shade with a soft brush or the upholstery head of a vacuum, and keep the champagne gold dry, giving it a wipe with a clean cloth if it starts to dull. It carries a one year warranty.
