Description
The Bangui is a compact flush ceiling light in brass, and we offer it in three finishes: Antique Brass, Antique Silver or Satin Brass. It is made up of a round ceiling plate and an exposed lampholder ringed with ribbed, threaded collars, so the bulb sits on view and gives its light openly to the room. It measures 8cm tall and 6.5cm across, small enough to sit neatly against the ceiling where a hanging pendant would get in the way. It takes one E27 bulb of up to 60W, and bulbs are sold separately, so you choose the one you want to fit.
We see it most at home in a hallway, where a low, tidy fitting keeps the headroom clear and a bare bulb gives a bright, open light by the front door. Because it sits so close to the ceiling, it suits a narrow hall or a low ceiling where anything deeper would feel crowded. The finish you choose sets the mood: Antique Brass or Satin Brass for a warm, golden tone, or Antique Silver for a cooler metal that sits well against grey or white walls. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only.
Every Bangui is made to order for you in Ireland, in brass, with the finish you pick. It is a mains fitting, so it needs to be wired in to the mains by a qualified electrician. The maker guarantees the fittings it makes for five years from the date of purchase; bulbs are not covered. When you order, decide on your finish first, then have an E27 bulb of 60W or less to hand, so you can fit it as soon as the electrician has finished. Our photographs show the Antique Brass and Antique Silver finishes.
