Description
We stock the Bangkok as an LED pendant light for over a kitchen island, dining table or bar counter. It pairs two stacked amber glass shades, a shallow bowl above and a deeper dome below, on a central matt black metal stem hung from a slim cylindrical black canopy. An integrated 12W LED sits between the two glass sections, giving 1300 lumens of warm 3000K light down through the lower dome and up through the upper bowl, with the amber glass warming the tone to a honeyed glow.
We would hang this over a worktop or dining surface where you want focused light on the task below and a bit of warmth from the side. The 120 degree beam covers a circular work area of roughly 1.2 to 1.5m across at typical mounting heights, so it suits islands and tables well. The overall drop measures 3480mm, and the suspension cable can be trimmed inside the canopy on installation, letting you set the pendant around 700 to 900mm above the surface depending on your ceiling height.
The integrated LED runs on a non-dimmable 220-240V 50Hz driver, so it is not intended for use with a dimmer switch. It has a colour rendering index of 80 CRI and an energy class of E, and the whole fitting is rated IP20 for dry interior locations only. The cylindrical canopy houses the driver and cable connection and fits a standard UK ceiling rose, so no separate light bulb is needed as the LED is built in.

Frequently Asked
Is it dimmable?
No. The Bangkok uses an integrated LED on a non-dimmable 220-240V 50Hz driver, so it runs at a fixed warm 3000K output and is not designed for use with a dimmer switch.
How high should I hang it?
The overall drop is 3480mm and the suspension cable can be trimmed inside the canopy on installation. We would set it around 700 to 900mm above a worktop or dining surface, adjusting to suit your ceiling height.
Do I need to buy a bulb?
No. The 12W LED is built into the fitting between the two glass shades and gives 1300 lumens of warm 3000K light, so there is no separate bulb to buy or replace.
Can I use it in a bathroom?
No. This pendant carries an IP20 rating, which means it is suitable for dry interior locations only, such as over a kitchen island or dining table, and not for bathrooms or other damp areas.
