Description

The Bajazzara is a three-light linear pendant: a slim black steel ceiling bar carries three black flexes, and each one ends in a barrel-shaped cage of curved grey wooden slats around a black lampholder. It measures 89cm long, 19cm wide and 110cm in overall height. Each lampholder takes an E27 bulb of up to 40W, and the bulbs are not included, so you can pick the ones that suit your room. It is rated IP20, which settles where it goes: indoors, in a dry room.

A linear pendant is made for a long surface. Hung over a dining table or a kitchen island, it spreads three points of light along the length rather than one in the middle. The open cages keep the bulbs on view, so a filament bulb makes a good partner for the curved slats. The black bar, flexes and lampholders draw a crisp line against a pale ceiling, while the grey wood keeps the look soft and natural. It suits a dining room, a kitchen or the eating end of an open-plan living space, anywhere you want light where people gather.

The body is black steel, and steel is strong and rigid, which suits a bar that carries three shades. The shades are grey wood. There is no switch on the fitting itself; it is switched at the wall, so it answers to the light switch you already use. It runs on 220-240V mains at 50/60Hz as a wired fitting, so a qualified electrician should install it. It weighs 2.525KG packed, and the installation instructions come as a download. Before fitting day, we suggest buying three E27 bulbs of up to 40W each, so the pendant is ready to light straight away.
