Aviary Velvet Cotton Cushion - Woodgrove Green

The Aviary cushion is a 50 x 50cm square worked in 100% cotton velvet, printed on both faces with a busy scene of garden birds perched and nesting among trailing flowers and foliage. The ground is a deep olive green the supplier calls Woodgrove Green, and against it the print runs to hot pink peonies, sunlit yellow blooms and birds in teal, orange and gold. Because it is a true velvet, the pile catches the light and shifts tone as you move past it, so the colours read differently from across a room than they do close up.
