Description

The Averna Small is a 300mm framed alabaster wall light built around a slim cylindrical column of natural Spanish alabaster, held against a rectangular brushed brass backplate by two horizontal brass bands. A curved brushed brass cuff wraps the lower portion of the alabaster, giving the fitting a layered profile. An integrated 5W 3000K LED sits behind the stone, casting warm light through the alabaster and out across the wall above and below.

At 300mm tall, 100mm wide and projecting 95mm from the wall, the Averna Small suits hallways, landings, ensuites, bedside positions and narrow wall sections beside mirrors or doorways. Mounted in pairs it frames a console table, headboard or vanity unit without dominating the wall. The compact projection keeps the fitting clear of head height in corridors and sits comfortably alongside framed art or panelled walls.

The alabaster column is cut from solid Spanish stone, so each piece carries different mineral veining and translucency, visible both unlit during the day and revealed more strongly when the LED is on. The body is solid copper finished in brushed brass, giving the metalwork weight and a warm tone that pairs with the soft white of the stone. Hard-wired to 230V mains with no visible bulb to replace, the integrated LED is concealed within the brass body.

Does the Averna come with a bulb?

The light source is an integrated 5W 3000K LED built into the body, so no separate bulb is needed or replaceable. The LED is rated for long service life under normal domestic use.

Is it suitable for bathrooms?

The Averna does not carry a published IP rating in its specification, so it should be installed in dry indoor zones only. For ensuite or bathroom installation, choose a wall light with a confirmed IP44 or higher rating appropriate to the bathroom zone.

Can it be installed in pairs?

Yes. The 100mm width and 300mm height make the Averna Small well-suited to mounting in pairs either side of a mirror, headboard, console or doorway. Each fitting is hard-wired separately and needs its own switched supply at the mounting point.

Will the alabaster look the same as the photograph?

The alabaster column is cut from natural Spanish stone, so the veining pattern, tonal variation and translucency differ between individual pieces. The shape, dimensions and finish are consistent, but no two stone columns are identical.
