Ava 4 Light Crystal Pendant Light - Polished Chrome

The Ava is a 250mm spherical pendant light built from interlocking polished chrome rings, each ring holding clear octagonal cut crystals around its circumference. Four G9 bulbs sit inside the sphere (sold separately), and when lit the light passes through the open lattice structure and refracts through hundreds of individual crystal facets. The polished chrome frame and matching canopy give a cool metallic finish that contrasts with the warm light transmitted through the crystal.

Designed for hallways, dining areas, bedrooms and staircases where a compact decorative pendant is needed, the Ava's 250mm diameter fits spaces where larger crystal pendants would overwhelm. The adjustable drop ranges from 360mm minimum to 1300mm maximum, allowing the pendant to be set closer to the ceiling in lower rooms or dropped lower over a console table or side table where ceiling height allows. The open frame structure means the pendant reads as lighter and less visually dense than a solid shade of equivalent diameter.

Each chrome ring holds multiple octagonal crystals in a repeating geometric pattern, with the rings themselves arranged in offset layers to create the spherical profile. The crystals are individually fixed to the frame, so the pendant arrives pre-assembled and ready to wire into a standard UK ceiling rose. At 1.9kg the fitting is light enough for plasterboard ceilings with appropriate fixings. The polished chrome finish pairs with cool-toned interiors, contemporary schemes and traditional settings where chrome or silver accents are already present.

What bulbs does the Ava take?

The pendant takes four G9 capsule bulbs up to 33W each (sold separately). Most users fit LED G9 bulbs between 2.5W and 5W in warm white (2700K-3000K) for ambient light. The bulbs are visible through the crystal lattice, so choose a bulb style that looks acceptable when unlit.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, provided you fit dimmable G9 bulbs and pair them with a compatible dimmer switch. Not all LED G9 bulbs dim smoothly, so check the bulb packaging confirms dimmer compatibility before fitting.

What ceiling height is needed?

The minimum drop of 360mm suits rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above. In higher rooms the chain can be extended to a maximum 1300mm drop, allowing the pendant to be positioned lower over a table or console.

How is the crystal cleaned?

Switch off and allow the bulbs to cool. Wipe each crystal with a dry microfibre cloth. For stubborn marks, use a barely-damp cloth with distilled water. Avoid household sprays or chemical cleaners, which can leave residue on the chrome or dull the crystal facets.
