The Ava is a 250mm crystal sphere pendant constructed from interlocking French gold metal rings, each set with a clear octagon crystal. The lattice framework holds the crystals in repeating circular rings around the sphere, creating a geometric cage that surrounds four G9 bulb fittings at the core. The pendant suspends on an adjustable chain from a matching French gold canopy.

Designed for dining tables, hallway drops and bedroom positions where a compact decorative pendant is needed, the 250mm diameter suits rooms with modest ceiling heights or smaller surface areas. The adjustable drop between 360mm and 1300mm allows the pendant to hang close to a ceiling in lower rooms or extend further in double-height spaces. The open lattice structure means light passes through the crystals in all directions rather than being confined by a solid shade.

The French gold finish is a warm-toned antique brass that sits between polished brass and antique bronze, pairing well with traditional and transitional interiors. The octagon-cut crystals refract and reflect light from the four internal G9 bulbs, creating points of sparkle across the entire sphere surface when the pendant is lit. The 1.9kg weight gives the pendant physical presence without requiring ceiling reinforcement in most installations.

What bulbs does the Ava take?

The pendant takes four G9 capsule bulbs, each up to 33W maximum. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED G9 bulbs between 2W-5W and 2700K-3000K for ambient dining or hallway lighting.

Is the Ava dimmable?

The fitting itself is dimmable-compatible, but you must use dimmable G9 LED bulbs and pair them with a compatible LED dimmer switch. Standard non-dimmable LEDs will not dim and may flicker or fail when used with a dimmer.

What ceiling height is needed?

The minimum drop of 360mm plus the 250mm sphere diameter means the pendant needs at least 610mm clearance from ceiling to surface below. For a dining table the pendant typically hangs 700-800mm above the table surface, requiring ceiling heights of 2.4m or above.

How are the crystals attached?

Each octagon crystal sits within one of the metal ring junctions on the lattice framework. The crystals are mechanically held by the ring structure rather than glued, so they can be removed for cleaning if needed.
