Ava 4 Light Crystal Flush Ceiling Light - Polished Chrome

The Ava is a 380mm diameter crystal flush ceiling light with a bowl-shaped array of clear faceted crystals set into a polished chrome frame. Four G9 bulb fittings sit inside the crystal bowl, directing light through the crystal beads and upwards onto the ceiling. The 130mm height from ceiling to lowest point makes it suitable for rooms with ceiling heights of 2.3m or lower where a pendant would hang too far into the room.

Designed for bedrooms, hallways, small lounges and dining areas in flats and period conversions where ceiling height is limited, the Ava provides both ambient ceiling wash and decorative sparkle without the drop of a chandelier. The flush-mount back plate fixes directly to a standard UK ceiling rose, and the chrome frame conceals the wiring run. The crystal beads are individually wired onto the metal rings, creating a dense pattern that catches both natural daylight and electric light.

The polished chrome finish reflects light back into the room and pairs with cooler-toned interiors, white walls and grey furnishings. The clear crystals scatter light across walls and ceilings rather than directing it downwards, so the Ava works better as ambient lighting than task lighting. At 2.4kg the fitting requires a secure ceiling fixing capable of supporting the weight of the metal frame and crystal array. The four G9 bulbs (sold separately) allow flexibility in colour temperature and wattage up to a maximum of 33W per bulb.

What bulbs does the Ava take?

The fitting takes four G9 capsule bulbs, each rated up to 33W maximum. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with G9 LED bulbs at 3-5W and 2700K-3000K for warm ambient light.

Is it suitable for low ceilings?

Yes. The 130mm height makes the Ava well-suited to rooms with ceiling heights of 2.3m or lower, where a pendant light would hang too far into the space. The flush mount sits close to the ceiling while still providing the decorative effect of crystal lighting.

Is the Ava dimmable?

The fitting itself is dimmable if paired with dimmable G9 bulbs and a compatible dimmer switch. Standard non-dimmable G9 LEDs will not dim and may flicker or fail if used with a dimmer.

How is the crystal cleaned?

Turn off the power at the consumer unit before cleaning. Use a dry microfibre cloth to wipe each crystal bead, or a barely-damp cloth for stubborn marks. Avoid spraying liquid directly onto the fitting as it can seep into the electrical components.
