Ava 4 Light Crystal Flush Ceiling Light - French Gold

The Ava is a 380mm flush-mount crystal ceiling light with a hemispherical dome of clear cut crystals set within a French gold-finished metal frame. The frame is built from connected circular rings that support the crystal pattern, and four G9 bulb fittings (bulbs sold separately) sit within the dome. The 130mm height from ceiling to base allows the fitting to work in rooms with standard 2.4m ceiling heights without protruding far into the space.

Designed for living rooms, hallways, dining rooms and bedrooms where a traditional aesthetic is preferred but a pendant drop is not practical, the Ava provides ambient light through the crystal diffusion. The four G9 fittings can each take up to 33W bulbs, giving flexibility to choose LED, halogen or filament bulbs depending on the desired brightness and colour temperature. The fitting is dimmable when paired with dimmable G9 bulbs and a compatible dimmer switch.

The French gold finish is a warm-toned metallic that sits between antique brass and polished gold, pairing well with warm wood furniture, rich textiles and traditional or classical interior schemes. Each crystal in the dome is facet-cut to catch and refract light, creating multiple points of shimmer when the bulbs are lit. At 2.4kg the fitting has enough weight to feel substantial but remains straightforward to install on a standard UK ceiling rose with the included fixings.

What bulbs does the Ava take?

The fitting takes four G9 capsule bulbs, each up to 33W maximum. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED G9 bulbs between 3-5W and 2700K-3000K for ambient light in living spaces.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, when paired with dimmable G9 bulbs and a compatible dimmer switch. The fitting itself supports dimming, but you must use dimmable bulbs rather than non-dimmable LEDs.

What ceiling height is needed?

The 130mm projection from the ceiling makes the Ava suitable for standard 2.4m ceiling heights. It works in lower-ceiling rooms where a pendant drop would hang too low or in spaces where a flush profile is preferred.

How is the crystal cleaned?

Switch off the power and allow the bulbs to cool. Wipe each crystal gently with a dry microfibre cloth. For stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable, but avoid soaking the crystals or using household sprays that may leave residue on the facets.
