Ava 3 Light Crystal Pendant Light - Polished Chrome

The Ava is a 200mm spherical crystal pendant light built from polished chrome metal rings arranged in an open lattice structure, each ring holding a clear faceted octagon crystal. Three G9 bulbs sit inside the sphere (sold separately), casting light through the layered crystals and creating refracted sparkle across walls and ceilings. The polished chrome finish reflects ambient light even when the pendant is switched off, adding a metallic accent to the space.

Designed for dining tables in smaller rooms, kitchen breakfast bars, entrance halls and alcoves where a compact decorative pendant is needed, the 200mm diameter provides concentrated sparkle without dominating the space. The adjustable drop ranges from 250mm to 1330mm, allowing the pendant to be positioned 600-800mm above a dining surface or set higher in a hallway depending on ceiling height. The polished chrome canopy fits standard UK ceiling roses and the chain conceals the cable run.

The metal lattice is handcrafted, with each ring holding the octagon crystals in place through a friction-fit backing. The crystals are cut with multiple facets that catch and scatter light differently depending on the viewing angle, so the pendant shows different patterns of reflection as you move around the room. At 1.4kg the Ava has enough weight to hang stably on the chain without requiring additional support. What bulbs does the Ava take?

The pendant takes three G9 capsule bulbs, each up to 33W maximum. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with G9 LED bulbs between 3-5W and 2700K-3000K warm white for ambient dining light. The compact G9 fitting sits inside the sphere and remains mostly hidden by the crystal lattice.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, when paired with dimmable G9 bulbs and a compatible dimmer switch. The pendant itself has no electronics — dimming capability depends entirely on the bulbs chosen and the dimmer installed on the circuit.

What ceiling height is needed?

The 250mm minimum drop plus the 200mm sphere diameter means the pendant requires approximately 450mm of clearance below the ceiling rose at its shortest setting. For a dining table, the pendant typically sits 600-800mm above the surface, which works in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above. The maximum 1330mm drop allows positioning in taller spaces or entrance halls with double-height ceilings.

How is the crystal cleaned?

Switch off and allow the bulbs to cool completely. Wipe each crystal gently with a dry microfibre cloth. For more stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable, but avoid soaking the metal frame and do not use glass cleaners or polishes that may leave residue on the polished chrome.
