Description

This AV:Link RG6 coaxial lead runs F-type plug to plug over a 2.0m length, giving you a straightforward connection for digital, satellite and cable TV signals. It is built to a 75 Ohms rating, which is the standard used across TV and satellite equipment, so it slots in wherever an F-type coaxial (coax) connection is needed. The plugs are nickel plated for a reliable fit onto your wall socket, receiver or splitter.

The construction uses a solid copper clad steel (CCS) conductor with a foamed polyethylene dielectric around it. On top of that sits an aluminium foil screen and a copper clad steel braid, followed by a PVC sheath. That combined foil and braid layer cuts down on noise reaching the conductor, which helps keep the signal clean on digital and satellite feeds where interference can cause dropouts or pixelation.

The cable measures 6.8mm in diameter with a 1mm conductor and a 48 x 0.1mm braid, so it stays flexible enough to route behind furniture or along skirting without much fuss. It arrives in a sealed retail bag, ready to fit between your aerial outlet, satellite box or cable modem. If you need a clean run from wall plate to set-top box, this is a practical fit.

Frequently Asked

How long is this lead?

It is 2.0m from plug to plug, which suits most short runs between a wall socket and a nearby TV, satellite box or cable modem.

What is the F-type connector used for?

F-type plugs are the screw-on connectors found on satellite receivers, cable boxes and many aerial outlets. This lead has an F-type plug at both ends.

Is it suitable for satellite TV?

Yes. The 75 Ohms RG6 build with foil and braid screening is intended for digital, satellite and cable TV signal transmission.

What does the 75 Ohms rating mean?

It is the impedance standard used across TV, aerial and satellite gear. Matching this rating keeps signal loss and reflections to a minimum.

How does the screening reduce noise?

An aluminium foil screen and a copper clad steel braid surround the conductor, cutting down interference that can cause picture break-up on digital feeds.

Can I use this for a cable modem?

Yes, as long as your modem uses an F-type coaxial input. The lead handles cable TV and broadband coax connections.
