Description
This AV:Link RG6 coaxial lead runs 10 metres between two plugs, giving you a straightforward connection for digital, satellite and cable TV signals. It uses a 75 Ohm design, which is the standard impedance for TV and satellite work, so it drops into most home setups without any adaptors. The lead comes with nickel plated coax plugs fitted at both ends, ready to connect your wall socket, set-top box or splitter.
The construction is built around a solid copper clad steel (CCS) conductor measuring 1mm in diameter, wrapped in a foamed polyethylene (PE) dielectric. Over that sits an aluminium foil screen and a copper clad steel braid made up of 48 strands at 0.1mm each. This double layer of screen and braid cuts down noise reaching the conductor, which helps keep your picture and signal clean over the full length of the run. A PVC sheath protects everything, and the finished cable measures 6.8mm across.
At 10 metres, this length suits jobs where the aerial (antenna) point sits some distance from the TV, or where you need to route the lead around a room. Shorter versions in this range come in a sealed retail bag, though the 10m is supplied loose. If you need a longer coaxial run for a fixed install or a temporary setup, this lead gives you a reliable link without the signal drop-off you get from thinner, unshielded cable.

Frequently Asked
What is the impedance of this coaxial lead?
It is a 75 Ohm lead, which is the standard impedance for TV, satellite and cable connections in UK homes.
What signals will this lead carry?
The screen and braid make it suitable for digital, satellite and cable TV signal transmission.
What type of plugs are fitted?
Both ends have nickel plated coax plugs already fitted, so no assembly is needed.
How long is the cable?
This lead is 10 metres long, plug to plug.
What is the conductor made from?
It uses a solid copper clad steel (CCS) conductor with a 1mm diameter, plus a CCS braid of 48 strands.
Does the 10m version come in a sealed bag?
No, the 10m lead is supplied loose. The shorter lengths in this range come in a sealed retail bag.
