Description

This Micro USB extension cable adds an inline power switch to your setup, so you can power a device up or down without pulling the connector out each time. The switch sits in the middle of the 25cm lead, keeping it within easy reach beside whatever you have plugged in. It runs from a Micro USB socket at one end to a Micro USB plug at the other, extending your existing connection while giving you a simple on/off control.

The button has a solid click-on, click-off action, so you always know whether the connection is live. It is a practical way to reset or restart a device, or to switch it off between uses without wearing out the port through repeated plugging and unplugging. The short 25cm length keeps things tidy and means the switch sits close to your device rather than trailing across the desk.

We designed this with single-board computers in mind, and it works well with the Raspberry Pi Zero and Pi 3 models. It also suits mini PCs, tablets, smartphones and a range of Bluetooth devices that charge or power over Micro USB.
