Description
The Auro is a compact LED ceiling light in black: a round steel and aluminium backplate 12cm across, with a single cylindrical head that stands 10cm proud of the surface and angles to point the light where it is needed. The LEDs are integrated, so there is no bulb to buy or change, and the light gives 120lm, which makes it a light for a bedside, a reading chair or a picture rather than the main light in a room. It is rated IP20, and that settles where it goes: indoors, in a dry room.
Because the head angles, it works well beside a bed, over an armchair or aimed at a shelf of books. We like it on a bedroom, hallway or living room ceiling, and it sits just as neatly on a wall. The real gain is the light itself: it dims, its colour temperature adjusts between warmer and cooler white, and it changes colour (RGB), so one small spotlight can give a crisp light for reading and then a soft colour for the evening. It can also be controlled from an app, which suits anyone who likes to set the mood from the sofa.
The body is steel and aluminium in a black finish, with a fine brushed grain across the backplate that stops it looking flat. The touch dimmer sits on the base, so brightness can be changed at the light itself as well as from the app. It runs on mains power at 220-240V, 50/60Hz, and as a wired-in fitting it is installed by a qualified electrician. It weighs 0.825KG packed, and the installation instructions are available as a download, so your electrician can read them beforehand.

Frequently Asked
Can the Auro go in a bathroom or outdoors?
No. It is rated IP20, which means it is made for dry indoor rooms such as bedrooms, living rooms and hallways, and it should not be placed outdoors or near water.
Is the Auro dimmable?
Yes. It dims using the touch dimmer on the base, and the brightness, colour temperature and RGB colour can also be set from an app.
How bright is the light?
It gives 120lm from integrated LEDs, a gentle, focused amount of light that suits a bedside, a reading chair or a picture rather than lighting a whole room.
What size is it?
The round backplate is 12cm across and the head stands 10cm out from the ceiling or wall, so it stays compact even in a small room.
Does it need a bulb?
No. The LEDs are integrated into the light, so there is no bulb to buy, fit or replace at any point.
What material is the body?
The body is steel and aluminium with a black finish, and a fine brushed grain runs across the round backplate.
