Description

The Aurex is a 570mm vertical wall light built around an elongated panel of natural Spanish alabaster, framed by a slim brushed brass surround with rounded ends. An integrated LED sits behind the alabaster and runs the full length of the panel, casting an even 3000K warm white glow through the stone. The fitting projects 80mm from the wall and measures 150mm across at its widest point.

The vertical orientation suits hallways, stairwells, bedside positions and either side of a bathroom mirror or vanity (where wiring is appropriate for the zone). Mounted in pairs, the Aurex frames a doorway or fireplace; mounted singly, it works as accent lighting along a corridor. The narrow 150mm width keeps the fitting close to the wall plane, so it does not intrude into circulation space in tight halls.

Each alabaster panel shows different veining and tonal variation depending on the section of stone it was cut from, so no two Aurex lights look identical when lit. The brushed brass frame wraps the alabaster on all sides with a continuous radius at the top and bottom, hiding fixings and giving a clean front profile. The brushed finish softens reflections and pairs with both warm-toned interiors and cooler grey or off-white walls.

Does the Aurex come with the LED bulb included?

Yes. The Aurex uses an integrated LED that runs the full length of the alabaster panel, fixed at 3000K warm white. There are no replaceable bulbs, and the unit runs on standard 230V mains.

Is it suitable for bathrooms?

The Aurex is not supplied with a bathroom IP rating. It can be installed outside the regulated bathroom zones (typically Zone 3 and beyond), but should not be fitted in Zones 0, 1 or 2 where moisture exposure is direct. Refer to current UK wiring regulations and consult a qualified electrician for placement.

Can two Aurex lights be installed as a pair?

Yes. The vertical 570mm proportion suits paired installation either side of a mirror, doorway or bed. Each unit wires independently to its own back box, so the spacing between the pair is set during installation rather than being fixed.

Does the alabaster vary between pieces?

Yes. Each panel is cut from natural Spanish alabaster, so the veining, mineral clouding and tonal variation differ between individual pieces. This is a feature of the natural material and becomes most visible when the LED is switched on.
