Description

The Aurelian is a 560mm vertical wall light built around two slender Spanish alabaster columns mounted above and below a compact satin nickel bracket. An integrated 8W LED runs through each column at 3000K, lighting the natural stone from within so the alabaster itself becomes the diffuser. The bracket measures 75mm wide and projects 90mm from the wall, keeping the fitting close to the surface despite its overall height.

Designed for hallways, bathrooms, bedrooms and living areas, the Aurelian works as both a vertical accent and a soft ambient source. The narrow profile suits tight wall sections beside doorways and mirrors, and pairs of the fitting can flank a vanity, headboard or artwork to reinforce symmetry. Hardwired to 230V mains, it requires no separate driver housing and integrates with standard UK back boxes during installation.

Each alabaster column is cut from natural Spanish stone, so the mineral veining and translucency vary subtly between pieces and become more visible once the LED is switched on. The solid copper internal structure carries the satin nickel finish, a low-sheen plating that softens reflections and sits comfortably alongside both warm brass-toned interiors and cooler grey palettes. The full fitting weighs little enough to mount on standard plasterboard with appropriate fixings.

Can the Aurelian be used in a bathroom?

The product listing does not specify an IP rating, so the Aurelian should be treated as a standard interior wall light unless confirmed otherwise. For bathroom installation, a fitting with an explicit IP44 or higher rating is required in zones 1 and 2. Please contact us before specifying for a wet area.

Is the LED replaceable?

The 8W LED is integrated into the fitting rather than supplied as a replaceable bulb. The 2-year warranty covers the LED module against failure within that period.

Is the alabaster identical between the two columns?

Each column is cut from natural Spanish alabaster, so the veining patterns and tonal variation differ between the upper and lower columns and between individual fittings. The variation becomes more visible when the LED is illuminated, and is a feature of the natural stone.

How is the alabaster cleaned?

Wipe the columns with a dry, soft microfibre cloth. For more stubborn marks, use a barely-damp cloth with distilled water. Avoid soaking the stone and do not use household sprays, polishes or chemical cleaners, as alabaster is porous and softer than marble.
