Description
The Auralis is a 610mm vertical double wall light built from two stacked natural Spanish alabaster cylinders separated by a brass band, with brass stud fixings holding each stone face to the internal frame. Each section houses an E14 lamp (sold separately), and the slim 120mm diameter keeps the fitting close to the wall. The alabaster itself acts as the diffuser, casting warm light upward and downward through the stone.
Designed for hallways, stairwells, bedrooms and bathroom-adjacent dressing areas, the Auralis works as both a light source and a vertical wall element. The 610mm height suits walls where a single round wall light would feel under-scaled, including landings with double-height ceilings, the flanks of large mirrors, and either side of a bed in place of bedside lamps. Two fittings either side of a console or fireplace create a balanced symmetrical pair.
Each alabaster cylinder is cut from natural Spanish stone, so the veining, tone and translucency vary between individual pieces and between the two cylinders within a single fitting. Visible at the corners and base, dark mineral veins thread through the warm cream-white body of the stone. The brushed brass band at the centre and the small brass stud detailing at each corner give the fitting a structural rhythm without competing with the stone surface.

Frequently Asked
What bulb does the Auralis take?
The fitting takes 2 x E14 (small Edison screw) bulbs, one inside each alabaster section. Bulbs are sold separately. A warm-white LED candle bulb between 3W-6W and 2700K-3000K pairs well with the natural cream tone of the stone and avoids overheating the sealed stone enclosure.
Does each piece of alabaster look the same?
No. Each alabaster cylinder is cut from natural Spanish stone, so the veining patterns, tonal warmth and translucency vary between individual fittings and between the two cylinders within the same fitting. This natural variation is a feature of the material rather than a defect.
Can the Auralis be used in a bathroom?
This fitting is not supplied with an IP rating, so it is intended for general indoor use rather than bathroom zones 1 or 2. It can be installed in dressing areas, hallways and bedrooms adjacent to bathrooms, but should not be positioned where it may come into contact with water spray.
How is the alabaster cleaned?
Alabaster is porous and softer than marble. Wipe the stone surfaces gently with a dry, soft microfibre cloth. Avoid household sprays, glass cleaners and damp cloths, as moisture and chemicals can mark or stain the stone over time.
