The Asia is a 47cm diameter lantern pendant built around an oiled bronze cylindrical frame with four E14 bulb positions inside. The outer shade is formed from clear glass panels set into a diamond-checkerboard pattern, creating a textured grid that softens and diffuses the light from the bulbs while maintaining visibility of the metal structure behind. The oiled bronze finish on the metalwork shows a dark, slightly satin appearance rather than a high shine.

Designed for dining tables, hallway drops and entrance foyers where a 47cm diameter fitting can provide centred light without overwhelming the space, the Asia works best in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.6m or above. The adjustable drop spans 540mm to 1450mm, allowing the pendant to be set 700-900mm above a dining surface or higher in double-height spaces. The four-bulb configuration provides balanced spread of light across the glass drum without creating harsh shadows.

The diamond-pattern glass creates a geometric texture that catches and refracts light across each panel, so the shade appears active even when the bulbs are off. The diamond-pattern glass panels can be wiped with a dry microfibre cloth when the bulbs are off and the fitting is cool. For more thorough cleaning, a glass cleaner can be used, but avoid spraying directly onto the oiled bronze metalwork as some cleaners may affect the finish.
