Description

The Arvella is a 650mm tall column wall light cut from a single piece of natural Spanish alabaster, mounted on a solid copper structure with a soft white finish. An integrated 6W LED runs the length of the column behind the stone, casting warm 3000K light through the alabaster so the entire face of the fitting glows evenly from rounded top to rounded base.

The slim 100mm width and 60mm wall projection keep the fitting close to the surface, making it suitable for hallways, stairwells, bedrooms and living rooms where a vertical light line is needed without intruding into the room. Mounted vertically beside a doorway, mirror or bedhead, the column reads as a continuous bar of warm light. Two units flanking a fireplace or bed create symmetrical wash lighting at head height.

Each alabaster column shows different mineral veining, tonal banding and translucency depending on the section of stone it was cut from, so no two Arvella lights look identical when lit. The natural amber and grey markings visible across the surface intensify under the integrated LED, with darker veins reading as warm shadows and the paler stone glowing more brightly. The rounded ends soften the linear form and remove any visible hardware from the lit face.

How is the Arvella mounted?

The light fits to a standard wall-mounted junction box and runs from 230V mains. The copper backplate sits flush against the wall with the alabaster column projecting 60mm forward. Installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician.

Does each alabaster column look the same?

No. Each column is cut from natural Spanish alabaster, so the veining, mineral banding, tonal variation and translucency differ between individual pieces. The amber and grey markings visible on each light are a feature of the natural stone, not a defect.

What kind of light does it produce?

The integrated 6W LED runs at 3000K, a warm white tone. Light radiates through the full 650mm length of the alabaster, producing soft ambient wash rather than directed task light. The stone itself acts as the diffuser, so the entire face of the fitting glows evenly.

Can it be used in a bathroom?

The Arvella does not carry an IP rating in the supplied specification, so it should be installed in dry interior locations only. For bathroom use, choose a fitting with an appropriate IP rating for the relevant zone.
