Description

The Arvella is a 680mm table lamp built around a cylindrical column of white marble, broken at regular intervals by polished gold metal bands that wrap fully around the base. A slim gold stem rises from the top of the marble column to a 400mm white drum shade, finished with a small gold finial. The light source is a single E27 fitting concealed inside the shade (bulb sold separately).

The lamp suits sideboards, console tables and bedside tables in living rooms, hallways and main bedrooms where a substantial table lamp is wanted without going as tall as a floor lamp. The 400mm shade diameter casts a wide, even spread of light at seated eye level, making the Arvella useful for ambient corner lighting beside a sofa or as a paired set on either side of a bed. The cable exits the rear of the base for discreet routing.

The marble sections show natural grey veining that varies between individual lamps, so no two bases look identical. The gold bands are polished to a mirror finish and contrast with the softer satin tone of the white shade and the matte white marble. Construction combines brass, marble, internal plastic components and a PVC-backed fabric shade. The 2-year warranty covers manufacturing defects.

What bulb does the Arvella take?

The lamp uses a single E27 (Edison screw) bulb up to the wattage permitted by the shade label. Bulbs are sold separately. A 6-9W LED at 2700K-3000K gives a warm ambient light suitable for living room and bedroom use.

Is it dimmable?

The lamp itself uses a standard E27 fitting and an inline switch. Dimming depends entirely on the bulb chosen — pair it with a dimmable LED and either a plug-in dimmer or a wall dimmer compatible with that bulb.

Does the marble veining vary between lamps?

Yes. Each marble section is cut from natural stone, so the grey veining and tonal variation differ between individual lamps. This is a feature of the natural material rather than a defect.

How is the marble and gold cleaned?

Wipe the marble with a dry, soft microfibre cloth, or a barely-damp cloth with distilled water for stubborn marks. Avoid acidic or abrasive cleaners on stone. Buff the gold bands gently with a dry microfibre cloth to maintain the polished finish.
