Description

This is an artificial Oncidium orchid, sometimes called a dancing lady orchid, set in a ribbed ceramic pot. Tall arching stems carry sprays of small open blooms above upright green leaves, giving the natural spread and movement of a real orchid without any watering or repotting. The faux flowers are made from plastic and polyfoam with an iron framework inside the stems, so they hold their shape and can be gently posed.

The range comes in two colourways, yellow and white, so you can pick the tone that suits your room. The yellow shown here is bright and warm, while the white is softer and more neutral. Both sit well on a hallway console, a bathroom shelf, a kitchen worktop or a bedside table, and the compact rounded pot means it works in smaller spots as well as larger sideboards.

The pot is ceramic with a textured ribbed finish in a pale grey and white tone, and the plant is fixed into a moss-topped base for a settled, planted look. The full arrangement measures 30cm wide, 23cm deep and 58cm high. To care for it, simply dust the leaves and blooms now and then and wipe the pot with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Keep it indoors and away from direct heat.
