Description

The Arqus is a 25cm diameter feather lampshade built on a clear vinyl drum frame, layered with dense crimson feathers across the entire outer surface. Manufactured by Diyas, the shade fits standard E27 or B22 lampholders and is rated for bulbs up to 60W, making it compatible with most table lamp bases and small pendant fittings.

Designed for bedside tables, accent lamps and compact pendants in bedrooms, dressing rooms and lounge corners where decorative impact matters more than high light output, the Arqus filters light through the feather layers into a warm diffused glow. The 18cm height and 25cm diameter suit lampholders with a maximum harp height of around 20cm or pendant drops where the shade will hang close to eye level. The feathers are hand-applied to maintain even density around the drum, so no bare patches appear when the lamp is lit.

Each shade weighs 350g, light enough for most table lamp necks but substantial enough to sit stable on a harp without wobbling. The red feathers are dyed to a consistent crimson tone, though natural variation in feather structure means each shade has slight textural differences when viewed closely. The clear vinyl base is visible only from directly above or below — from side-on, the feather coverage dominates. The shade requires gentle handling during installation to avoid bending individual feathers, and should not be used in damp rooms or near sources of steam.
