The Arqus is a 41cm diameter feather lampshade built from a transparent vinyl cylinder covered in layered soft pink feathers. Each feather is attached individually to create a dense, textured surface that diffuses light into a warm blush glow when fitted to a table or floor lamp base. The 23cm height suits standard E27 or B22 lamp holders up to 100W.

Designed for bedrooms, dressing rooms, nurseries and reading corners where softer ambient light is needed, the shade works on both table lamp bases and floor lamp stands. The feather construction filters light without blocking it entirely, casting a gentle pink wash across nearby walls and ceiling. The vinyl base provides structure while remaining nearly invisible behind the feather coverage.

Each shade shows slight variation in feather placement and density due to the hand-applied construction. The pink tone is a soft pastel blush rather than a saturated hot pink, pairing comfortably with white, cream, grey and natural wood interiors. What lamp base does this fit?

The Arqus fits standard table lamp and floor lamp bases with E27 or B22 lamp holders. The 41cm diameter works on bases with a footprint of 20cm or wider for visual proportion. Most ceramic, brass and wooden lamp bases accept this shade without modification.

What bulb wattage should be used?

The shade is rated for bulbs up to 100W, but LED bulbs between 6-10W (equivalent to 40-60W incandescent) provide sufficient light without overheating the feathers. Use warm-white LED bulbs at 2700K-3000K to complement the pink tone.

How are the feathers cleaned?

Dust the shade gently with a soft-bristled brush or use a hairdryer on a cool, low setting to blow dust off the feathers. Do not wet the feathers or use household sprays, as moisture can mat the feather structure and discolour the vinyl base.
