Description

Our Arid Wall Light Tile is an aluminium panel in a Textured Pebble Grey finish, made to sit flat on the wall and frame a light. Each tile is 20cm wide and 30cm tall, with fine vertical fluting running across its face, and the tiles that meet the light have a smooth, curved section that frames it. The tile gives no light of its own. It needs an Arid wall light to fit, sold separately, which provides the light while the tiles turn it into a larger panel on the wall. The tile comes in four positions: Central, Right, Left and Neutral, so you can choose the piece that suits its place in your arrangement.

It belongs to the Arid range, and it is the part that gives an Arid fitting its size and texture on the wall. We think it works well in a living room, a hallway, a landing or a bedroom, where a wall light is seen up close and the fluted surface catches the light and throws soft shadows across the ridges. Textured Pebble Grey is a light, warm grey that sits quietly against plaster, painted walls and natural timber, so it suits calm, pared back rooms as easily as more traditional ones. Several tiles together make a panel much larger than the light itself, which is a good way to give a plain wall some presence without hanging artwork.

The tile is made from aluminium, and its textured finish gives the fluting a soft, matt look rather than a shine. The design is by Nahtrang Studio. As a practical note, plan the layout before you order: work out which of the Central, Right, Left and Neutral positions your wall needs, and choose them alongside the wall light so the light and its tiles are planned as one piece from the start.
