Description

The Arena Acoustic is a large disc pendant light: a slim white ring 98cm across and just 5.3cm tall, with a grey panel filling the whole of its face. A band of integrated LED runs around the inside of the ring and shines downwards, so there is no bulb to buy or change. It gives 1434lm of warm 2700K light with a CRI of 90, which keeps food, fabrics and skin tones looking true. The finish is White, clean and quiet, and it frames the grey centre neatly from below as well as from the side.

At almost a metre wide, this is a pendant for rooms with space to fill. Hung over a long dining table, it spreads an even pool of light for meals and conversation; in a generous living room it sits well above a sofa group or a coffee table and centres the room without a cluster of smaller fittings. It hangs on fine wires from a round canopy 20.6cm across, with a drop of up to 500cm, so it suits tall ceilings and double-height spaces as readily as standard ones. It is rated IP20, which makes it a fitting for dry rooms indoors only.

The White finish wraps the whole ring, the grey panel sits within it, and the fitting runs on 230V mains power. It dims through either a DALI control system or push dimming from a push switch, so it can join a wider lighting control setup or simply be brightened and lowered by hand at the wall. It is wired in to the mains by a qualified electrician. Before the visit, settle on the drop you want over your table or seating: with up to 500cm of suspension to work with, that one choice decides how the light falls across the room.
