Description

The Arena Acoustic is a large disc LED pendant light in a brushed brass finish, 98cm across and just 5.3cm deep. A slim brass ring frames a grey panel that fills the disc. Light comes from a band around the underside of the ring, so the glow falls downwards and traces the circle. The light source is an integrated LED, so there is no bulb to buy or change. It gives 1434 lumens of warm white light at 2700K, with a colour rendering index of 90, which keeps wood, fabric and skin tones looking natural.

At nearly a metre across, this pendant suits a generous space. Centre it over a long dining table, or hang it in an open living room where a single wide disc can light the area beneath it. It hangs from fine suspension wires on a drop of up to 500cm, so it suits high ceilings as well as standard ones. It is rated IP20, which means dry indoor rooms only. It dims on a compatible DALI or push-dimming control, so you can bring the light down for a long dinner and up again for everyday use.

We like how little there is to it: a brushed brass band 5.3cm deep, a canopy 20.6cm across at the ceiling, and the fine wires between. The brushed brass finish has a soft, low sheen rather than a mirror shine, so it sits comfortably with warm timber and darker walls. It runs on 230V mains power and is wired in by an electrician. Plan the ceiling position before your electrician visits, and allow for the full 98cm span so the disc clears walls, beams and doors.
