Description

The Arelis is an 800mm linear wall light built around a slim cylinder of natural Spanish alabaster, held within a black metal framework with a brushed brass backplate behind the stone. Two black banding rings divide the alabaster into three visual sections along its length, and an integrated 16W LED runs the full internal height of the cylinder, producing a continuous 3000K line of warm light.

Designed as architectural wall lighting for hallways, stairwells, bedside positions and bathroom vanity walls, the Arelis mounts vertically with a 100mm projection from the wall. The 80mm-wide profile keeps the fitting close to the surface, making it suitable for narrower corridors and circulation spaces where a wider wall light would catch shoulders or sleeves. The fixed-output LED removes the need for a separate bulb purchase.

Each alabaster cylinder is cut from natural stone, so the veining and tonal variation differ between individual pieces. When unlit, the alabaster reads as a soft off-white against the black frame; when lit, internal mineral patterns become visible through the translucent stone, giving the surface a depth that flat opal glass cannot match. The black metalwork and brass backplate create a defined contrast that suits modern, hotel-style and contemporary interiors.

Is the Arelis suitable for bathroom use?

The Arelis does not have a published IP rating in the supplied specification, so it should be treated as an indoor wall light for general rooms rather than within bathroom zones. For vanity walls outside zones 1 and 2, or for cloakrooms without shower exposure, please confirm suitability with us before ordering.

Can it be mounted horizontally?

The fitting is designed for vertical wall mounting, with the brass backplate and banding rings composed for an upright orientation. Horizontal installation is technically possible but is not the intended configuration and may affect how the cable entry sits behind the backplate.

Does the alabaster vary between pieces?

Yes. Each cylinder is cut from natural Spanish alabaster, so the veining, tonal movement and translucency differ between individual fittings. This is a feature of the natural stone, not a manufacturing defect, and becomes most visible when the LED is switched on.

Is the LED replaceable?

The 16W 3000K LED is integrated into the fitting rather than user-replaceable. The fixed driver and LED arrangement is what allows the continuous, uninterrupted line of light along the alabaster cylinder. The fitting carries a 2-year warranty.
